GOVERNANCE
The board of directors is Klappir's highest decision-making body, below the general meeting.
In accordance with Icelandic company law, the board holds responsibility for the company's organisation and management, and meets on a schedule determined at the start of each year. Board members are elected annually at the general meeting, serving until the close of the following annual general meeting. The articles of association set the board's composition at five members.
Chairman of the Board
Ágúst has more than 25 years of experience as a CEO and board chairman within the software industry and brings extensive expertise in strategic leadership, corporate governance, and scaling technology companies. He joined the Board of Klappir in April 2021 and serves as Chairman of the Board.
Board Member
Jón Ágúst is a co-founder of Klappir and an early investor in the Company. He brings extensive experience at both board and executive levels within technology-driven organisations, with a strong track record in resource and business development, corporate governance, strategic oversight, and long-term value creation across international markets.
Board Member
Vilborg is the founder and CEO of BravoEarth. She brings strong experience in strategy, leadership, and scaling technology-driven organisations, with particular insight into sustainability, data-driven decision-making, and international growth. She joined the Board of Klappir in April 2022.
Board Member
Sverrir has over 25 years of work experience from financial markets, domestic and international, across advisory, MD and investments. He joined the Board of Klappir in March 2026.
Board Member
Áslaug Eva has over 10 years of experience in the technology industry, with expertise in digital transformation, leadership, and team development. She joined the Board of Klappir in 2026.
Deputy Board Member, Co-Founder and CPO
Sigrún has been with Klappir since 2014 and brings extensive experience across customer success and product management, contributing deep operational insight and long-term institutional knowledge of the company.
