ESG Implementation is a Copenhagen-based sustainability advisory firm specialising in ESG strategy, regulatory compliance, and ESG software integration. The firm works with private companies across sectors to help them identify material ESG issues, establish data-driven processes, and produce reporting in line with CSRD and other regulatory requirements.

Equally, when ESG Implementation clients need a structured data foundation, the Klappir platform is part of the recommendation.
From compliance task to strategic discipline
Andersen & Heegaard is a Danish technical contractor with nearly 200 years of history and more than 500 employees operating across the country. In 2024, Andersen & Heegaard began working with Klappir to structure and collect sustainability data. The company had already implemented a number of sustainability initiatives, but they were neither consistently measured nor documented. The goal was to establish a solid foundation and ensure readiness for potential CSRD requirements.
ESG Implementation was brought in from the outset to design and run a structured programme covering Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) and CSRD preparation. Because ESG Implementation already knew the Klappir platform, set-up was efficient and aligned from day one, avoiding rework and ensuring that data collected could be used directly for both reporting and strategic decision-making.
With the Klappir Strategy module as the central hub, the team was able to guide the DMA process, structure policies and actions, and gather all documentation in one place. ESG Implementation supported this with targeted workshops and strategic sparring, helping translate regulatory requirements into actions relevant to Andersen & Heegaard’s specific business context, rather than applying a generic framework.
Although Andersen & Heegaard currently falls outside the scope of mandatory CSRD reporting, the company has chosen to continue the work. The result is a well-documented DMA, a solid ESRS foundation, and a sustainability programme now positioned as a competitive differentiator aligned with future customer expectations. Next steps include working towards ISO 14001 certification and preparing the company’s first public sustainability report.
Fixed-scope advisory packages, built in dialogue with Klappir
The Andersen & Heegaard case reflects a model that ESG Implementation and Klappir have deliberately built. Fixed-scope advisory packages covering platform onboarding, GHG baseline development, and climate action planning are now available directly to Klappir customers, with pricing starting at EUR 5,000. These services were developed in direct dialogue with Klappir, shaped around the points where customers most commonly need external support.
The collaborative approach extends into Klappir’s product development. ESG Implementation has been involved in shaping Klappir Strategy from an early stage, providing practitioner feedback that has influenced the product’s evolution.
