About the platform
What the platform is, how it is designed, and how it is different from an ESG reporting tool.
Klappir's canonical data model is a UNSPSC-based standardized data structure for sustainability and resource data. Every transaction is classified using the United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (55,000+ categories), tagged with supplier identifiers, conversion factors, asset/location data, and timestamps, and stored with a full audit trail. It's the shared language that makes data comparable and exchangeable across organizations.
A system of record for sustainability data is defined by its ability to store resource-level data with stable identifiers, clear classifications, unit integrity, time context, and full traceability to source. It is governed, versioned, and framework-agnostic, so the same underlying data can reliably support multiple calculations, disclosures, and decisions without being re-collected or reinterpreted each time.
The platform handles energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), waste streams, water usage, travel and fleet data, procurement and supplier data, and associated financial transactions. All data is structured at the transaction level using the canonical data model.
Klappir supports CSRD/ESRS, VSME, CDP, SFDR, GHG Protocol, and other leading frameworks. Because the platform is built on a standardized data model rather than tied to a specific framework, your data can serve multiple reporting requirements from a single source of truth.
Each data point is ingested with full context, source, unit, classification, asset, time, and lineage, and stored in a system of record that multiple processes can access. That same record feeds operational dashboards, internal targets, customer disclosures, regulatory filings, and audits without duplication or reinterpretation, because meaning is fixed at ingestion, not recreated downstream.
The Klappir Ecosystem is the connected network of organizations, partners, and suppliers sharing verified sustainability data through the platform. When organizations join the ecosystem, they contribute to and benefit from standardized data exchange, creating network effects that make the data more valuable for everyone.
Klappir offers three tiers: Core (freemium, for getting started), Growth (standard, for organizations scaling their sustainability operations), and Impact (enterprise, for complex multi-entity and value chain requirements).
